Welcome to KnutsenRacing.com

5/11/08
The 2008 season
began for the Knutsen Racing team as Russell was behind the wheel of
the #33 Hal Lawrence TQ Midget. Russell had a solid feature race and
ended up finishing 9th. Look for Russell to be in the TQ Midget this
season at Dunn Tire Raceway Park. The #93 Street Stock will remain
under wraps as Russell gets more and more experience in the TQ
Midget division.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
JUDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Message from
Tracey Bannister...
To all the
patrons of Lancaster Raceway,
My bid to
be the nominee of the Democratic party for State Supreme Court
has ended when the Democratic Convention for the 8th Judicial
District chose three other candidates and not me.
While I am
saddened that I will not be a candidate for State Supreme Court
this year, I will still remain the Judge for the village of
Kenmore.
I appreciate
the support and good wishes I received from the racing fans,
especially those at Lancaster Speedway. The Knutsen's (#93) have
been among my biggest supporters. They are good friends and I
will never forget their willingness to do anything to support
me. I would like to say a special thank you to Nick and Mike
Hossfeld for giving me their time to post my MANY messages on
Russell and Judi's web page, (including this one).
I worked
very hard to meet people throughout the eight counties of
Western New York and I am proud to count the Lancaster Racing
families, fans and drivers as my most unique and interesting
supporters. Thank you!
I look forward
to running again in the future with your support.
All my best
wishes,
Tracey
Bannister

Russell ran the
#33 Midget for Hal Lawrence racing again this weekend. Russ started
12th in the feature and hit the turn 2 wall on the first lap when
cars spun in front of him. Knutsen went in the pits and came out a
few laps later with a new tire on. Knutsen finished 13th.

On behalf of
Knutsen Racing, we would like to congratulate Scott Mutka and the
whole Mutka team on their first win of the year.
8/26/07
Russell changed
things up this weekend as he raced for the first time in a TQ Midget
for Hal Lawrence. Russ started in the back and finished 12th. It was
a big change for Knutsen but it was fun to try something new.
8/21/07
Russ will be
racing Saturday night but not in his traditional #93 street stock.
He will make his first début racing in a TQ midget for team
Lawrence. Russ feels very privileged to be driving for Hal Lawrence
and said its such an honor to race with so many talented drivers
such as Dan Lawrence, Wollaber, Christiano Jr., Holmes, and
Friesen just to name a few and the list goes on. He is very excited
to try something new and who knows where this can take him.
8/5/07
Knutsen Racing
went back racing after having last weekend off. Russ had another
solid run in the #93 coming home in the 5th position. Next weekend
Lancaster is having a car show so 2 weeks from now will be the next
race for Russell.

Happy
Anniversary---
Judi and Russ

Knutsen Racing
hit the track and had a solid run after winning the feature last
week. Russell was able to come home with a respectable 7th place
finish.
7/8/07
7/7/07 was a
lucky date for Russell, as he made his return to victory lane at LRP.
Russell took advantage of a good starting spot and quickly made his
way to the front of the field. He had a huge advantage over
Jim Bryant until a yellow flag came out. Russell managed to
hang onto the top spot though. To see a video clip of the last
lap, click here.

Due to
circumstances beyond our control, Russ was unable to attend the
races on June 23rd.
6/16/07
It was another
uneventful night for Knutsen Racing. Russell started 9th in the
feature and used the high line to move his way up to 7th where he
finished. Next Saturday is another regular event. Hope to see you
there!
Congratulation to
Alyssa Mullen who won her second Novice (go-kart) feature at
Ransomville on Thurs. June 14th.
6/9/07
Knutsen Racing
got back to the track this weekend after missing last weeks race.
Russ had a solid race and came home with a 4th place finish. The
race was for the most part uneventful, and it was great to see the
93 come home in one piece.
Happy Birthday Greg
Edwards!
6/2/07
After the
accident last week, the car sustained a lot of damage and wasn't on
the track for the June 2nd race. Although Russ wasn't racing, he did
make it out to the track and was in the stands. Russ would like
to extends his apologies to his sponsors and fans "I did my best to
have the car race ready, but came up a day short" and that he will
see them all next week.

Big
congratulations goes to Scott Wylie and the whole Wylie family

Russell had a
rough night this Saturday at Lancaster. The Street Stock feature was
caution filled, and on lap 5, the #1 car spun, and 3 others were
collected, one of them being Russ. The right front quarter panel and
hood had the most damage but after further observation to the car,
there is more extensive damage then what was initially reported. "We
will do our best to make sure everything is in working order for
next weeks race." Photos of the car can be found on the photos page.
Also,
Congratulations Cory Gallagher #24 on your first feature win!
5/20/07
Russell
captured his first top 5 of the season this weekend. After finishing
3rd in the heat, Russ went on to start 6th in the feature. The car
ran good and Russell got his way up to third where he finished.
Congrats John
Julicher Jr. on your first win. #9
5/12/07
Russell had a
strong run at the second race of the season. He went home with his
second straight 8th place finish. The race was for the most part
uneventful which was a good change from last week. This week, the
car went home without any damage.
5/7/07
Russell battled
back from an early accident to a solid 8th place finish at the
Season Opener. After Cory Gallagher dropped some fluid on the
track it was all out chaos as about 5 or 6 cars spun coming out of
turn four. Unfortunately for Russell he was one of them.
A photo of the damage can be found on the photo page. As the
strong cars usually do, Russell was able to find his way back to the
front of the field and is looking forward to next week.
